Working Woodland Day – free woodland activities for all the family

Friday 2nd August 2013

GreenAcres Woodland Burials – Chiltern is holding a free event for all the family on Saturday 10th August.

Working Woodland Day is an annual event taking place between 10am-3pm, hosting a huge variety of woodland activities and entertainment for all age ranges.

Throughout the day activities include flying demonstrations by stunning birds of prey, mobile sawmilling, horse logging, carriage rides through the woodland and woodcarving. Also taking palce will be informative and engaging talks from the Butterfly Conservation Society, Berks and South Bucks Bat Group and Oxon Wildlife Trust and Chalfont Beekeepers.

There will be more than 30 local groups and organisations supporting the event this year which is set to be a real treat for those that attend. A range of food and refreshments will be also available throughout the day.

Why not come along and make the most of the beautiful woodland setting, learning more about how the woodland manages its habitats, trees, flowers and the wildlife that call the park their home. As well as encountering some truly exciting and interesting demonstrations.

This is our most popular event and always proves an enjoyable day out for all the family.

We look forward to welcoming everyone from across the county to enjoy what will be, a fantastic family day out.

The woodland park has full disability access and there are baby changing facilities on site. There is no requirement to book for this event.
